Hello, everyone. It's me, Carol. I'm still here. I am really behind in my word count, mainly because I'm behind in my writing.
I blame it on my husbsnd! I had to take him to the ER last Friday, stayed with him the whole time, through his surgery a few days later and the days he remained in the hospital. He is finaly home, but not doing great, but at least I hope to get to do some writing when he's resting.
I plan to double or triple my writing word count over the next few days, so that I can catch up.
Though my count is low, I'm finding it facinating and am amazed at how the story takes over, especially since I had no clue as to what to write about on the first. I think I'm in love with NaNoWriMo already.
Not whinning, just wanted to let you all know, I don't give up!

i love the title of this thread!

is it ok to add to it?

i'm so relieved to see someone else is behind but not giving up.

it just so happened nano started out this way for me:
cleaning up the insane mess left by 50+ people partying at my place on halloween night, then spending the next few days working overtime (november happens to be my busiest month at work) and preparing my place for a visit from a friend and her infant, who are now here and -though welcome and much loved- totally keeping me from writing!!

anyone else suffering nano setbacks but still going for it?

Thank goodness it isn't just me. I'm way behind but still trying as well. I didn't write anything for two days since I was working my "real job" and didn't sit down for any length of time. I'm back to trying today, hopefully it will go better. Keep trying everyone!

Glad to hear it isn't just me!

I was actually in San Diego on November 1 and halfway through the day my family decided it was time to head back. I tried to write in the car, but I'm one of those people who gets distracted and stares out the car window, so I wrote 48 words. After that, I've just been swamped with homework. I mean on Wednesday I was doing homework from 1pm - 6am. I had a class in the evening and I took a break for a quick dinner but that was it.

I'm really enjoying writing my story though, now that it's finally starting to take off. I have a paper due Monday where I have to write my own mythological story about a hero, and I'm hoping that won't take up too much of my time this weekend. It's a fun assignment, just bad timing.

Good luck to you all!

I'm here too. I failed last year and the stress of this year. Much more responisbility this year for me. I start at ASU in spring. Ive got to do all this stuff at home until my mom comes home. I umm started writng yesterday so I'm way behind. I'd like to win this year it would help but we will see. My story kinda stinks because Kirsten is being rather slow in telling me what her deal is. Ok back to it.
