Glitter counts as horror to me. I mean um- not the glitter of a shimmery outside-bodied vamp but the Ms "Mimi" Carey's movie that made Crossroads look like....nevermind. It was a lateral move.
It's easy to pigeonhole vampires into Horror. But I've run across a few books that I would not classify as horror that contain vampires. Pratchett's Discworld novels, for example. I think most people would put those in Fantasy.
And Scott Westerfeld's Peeps they're kind of a SciFi/Horror hybrid.
Of course, I think it would be hard to find a book lover who couldn't spend a few minutes arguing with a Barnes and Noble employee about where one of their favorites has been shelved.

It seems crazy popular but there must be a reason for it....

I'm fantasy, but it's because I can't figure out where else "unemployed biker gods save the day" would fit. ;)

Everybody knows vampires are horror.
Actually, no, I don't want the Twilight fans invading Horror.
Send them over to Romance instead.

Definitely romance. No need for it to taint the other genres.
Is there a 'crack' option? That may be best.
