I just noticed that at least one Elsewhere wrimo has already broken 50k. Holy hell and I'm sorry I didn't congratulate you sooner!

Anyone who hits 50k, post here with tips and tricks for those who aren't there yet. Or just to rub it in our faces, whatever you feel like. =)

hi!

uh, tips...let's see... let real life go on. don't lock yourself up, don't shut the world out. i'm writing as i'm going through grad school, and i don't think i would have gotten past 50k if i disregarded all my deadlines. everything else that exists outside of nano is a good way for my brain to rest and recharge.

so yes, good luck everyone!!

Illustria, I'd love to hate you, but you're too blinkin' cool! Great job!

Now I need to stop posting here and get to work. Amazing how much more work I got done, even with my computer tanking out in prime writing time, when my husband forgot to restore wi-fi after his encrypted session for work!

Find yourself a nice quiet place and put a stack of paper and a typewriter in front of you. You'll be amazed at how much more writing you can accomplish when you channel your creativity through the proper tools and close out those nasty distractions!

I reached 50k yesterday. I kind of rushed my ending, so I'll probably fill it in more when I go through and start editing tomorrow. :)
I don't really have tips. I slept less than a teenager in high school should.
I felt more productive while writing, than I did any other time out of the year, I cleaned more and I did all of my homework. :) It's weird how you should be more busy, but you find time for other things as well.

Wish I could be more of help to everyone. :(
