I know, I know. I haven't made it yet. I'm a long stretch off. I'm working on it!
But I know there are some of you out there who have done the 50k already. I know there are others who are edging up to the mark, just a finger-flurry away, and will be there very soon.
Why aren't you shouting about it, huh?
Well, here's your chance. Tell us! Put your hand up and show us how awesome you are! Do a little dance!
Okay, we won't be able to see you dancing, but you get the idea. ;) Post when you hit 50k! We want to hear about it!

Not quite as impressive as Yuuchan and a day behind my goal, but I hit 50k yesterday (:
----------I too have procrastinated ever since, though I finished off the last 1k of that novel today. I'm excited to be starting my next novel though it is completely unplanned :D

*shuffle shuffle flop* I made it. With an hour to spare.
Not running behind, sort of on personal goal track, however now that I have reached the rather coverted 50K... we will see if it is possible for me to stay on target with my personal goals or just fall off the wagon again.
I feel completely exhausted and I feel ready for a big sleep... *snore*
Yay 50K!!!

Yay 50K!!!! I can't believe I did it in 9 days! 4 days ahead of schedule. I even managed to put in my dare of "random lemming suicides" to get me that last 1000 words to the finishline. Now to take a breath and a night's rest before I continue and finish the story at a much slower rate.

I fly home to Brisbane on Saturday morning. In order to avoid any jet lag when I get home I'm going to stay up all night on Friday night writing so that when I finally get home I'll be able to go straight to sleep.
Finding it really hard to write during the week - I just don't have the time, and won't when I get home because I go back to work almost straight away, so I'll just have to go for broke on Friday night.

Well, after a few steady days of 4k plus words, I reached almost 43k last night, and thought I might have an easy couple of days to hit 50k inside my goal of 15 days. Well, while writing at work I found a previously untapped resource of things to write about (that being pirates and ninjas)(and I swear on my life I never consciously made this whole thing about Pirates vs Ninjas, it just happened, and then my friend pointed it out to me later.
Anyway, I wrote 4.4k at work today and knew the goal was in sight... And then I wrote another 4k once I got home.
WOohooooOOooOooOooOOo... 51k :)
I don't intend to stop writing, but I might ease back to averaging 3k days instead of 4-6k. :P
But then again, maybe not.

Whahoo I did it! Made it to 50K 50,177 so far. I'm also very happy that I managed to use my favourite word in the English language 'foibles' as word no 50,000... *she dances a jig resembling the macarena*

Hooray! I pledged I would write 10,000 words this weekend and write them I did and still had time for a life. My shoulder is aching and tonight I'm having a Zen Thai Shiatsu massage to celebrate.
I am one happy camper. Bloody hell I'm so excited it's ridiculous. This is fun. I'm going to do it again next year.
Hoot!

I'm on a 50K high at the moment!!! I can't believe I made it. All those 4am starts and days of crap writing have all been worth it. I didn't think it would feel this good!

I decided to call a halt to the madness which involved doing very little actual work at work (and writing instead) at just over 80k. I'm now in the process of revising / actually developing a plot for it, and see a long way ahead before it ever sees the light of day.
