1. Day2, I included a 268-word story my 5 year old nephew made up as he told it to me over the phone on Day 1 when I asked him for help in writing my "story."

2. I haven't reached my Day 3 goal, yet.

3. I almost have a plot. My genre and the person I am writing in are still in flux.

4. So far there is more non-fiction than fiction in my novel. I was a lot more creative back when I used to write. I'm still working on bringing it back to the surface.

5. I'm embarrassed to be writing at a 3.6 Flesch-Kincaid grade level. I need to return to reading literature and regain my vocabulary.

I discarded my outline on Day one. I have no idea where this thing is going. I have an endpoint in mind, but am just as surprised as my characters every day that I write.

Today, for no apparent reason, I have no motivation to write at all. My goal being 30K words by the end of the weekend, this frustrates me mightily.

Also, my character just twisted my my anticipated plot into a pretzel and walked off. I now need to figure out WHERE and HOW and WHAT he's going to do. At least I know the WHY and WHEN, I suppose that's something.

I'm writing two stories for NaNo. One is a story that I've been working on for a while. The other pretty much threw itself out of my fingers the other other night and is demanding to be told.

I was hopiing this would be fair - I am happy with my first work but I think I can finish it up in 25K and I've got an idea for a second totally different peice that I think I can also finish up in 25K - does that count? I could pretend that the second story is a really really long, totally unrelated dream sequence of one of my charactors?

I had to really fight my impulse to turn a scene of my novel into bondage porn. Because it was just GOING that way and no, these characters have no sexual future (or chemistry, really) together. I quelled the urge.

That's the last time I tie my MC to a chair. I had to slap her out of her dirty, dirty mind. (No, really. She got slapped.)

I'm completely unmotivated to write today. And I'm hating myself for it.

I was asked - BEGGED - to work yesterday. It was just 6 hours (but I did say I wouldn't pick up extra house in November). It cut into my writing time, but I still managed to write 2,439 words yesterday (1,660 at the write-in).

Today...not so motivated at all. Only 703 words (so far), and that was describing a house. I plan to go shopping with some friends later in the day. That should be good for a few hundred words later on. ;-)

I'm *whispers* rewriting a scene.

And I've nearly doubled the word count for that chapter. :D

Don't feel bad! I haven't written a single word yet today.

Oh something to confess... right.

Um Yeah, I haven't written a single word yet today... that's enough of a confession for me.
