1) Why are you doing NaNoWriMo? Because I love to write and I am currently always telling everyone that "I have a novel in progress that I hope to finish" If I win I can start saying "I wrote a novel that I hope to publish" (That is, once I go through editing and take out all the garbage that was left in because I wasn't going to delete and make my word count goal harder to achieve, lol)

2) What are your hopes for NaNoWriMo? To finish before the 30th. At my current rate, I don't think that will be a problem. YAY!

3) How have you planned for this month? I did a ton of research. I asked my fight director/stage combat friends a ton of questions because it is a midieval time period and that's the stuff that these friends of mine know best. It has been utterly helpful.

4) Where do you see yourself at the end of the month? Giggling madly at my new novel until I realize I slacked off on homework and am now behind schedule for my classes. Either that or passed out cold on my bed from exhaustion. lol

5) If you've done NaNoWriMo before, what has your past experiences been like? Never done this before. I'm a newb! I did do Script Frenzy this past April. That was fun. :D

1) Why are you doing NaNoWriMo? Because it sounds like a fun way to get my writing going. It's great to meet so many other writers (Published and Non-Published) - it seems to be a wealth of information and support here!

2) What are your hopes for NaNoWriMo? My hopes for NanoWriMo is that all my writing that I've done in November will amount to a novel to re-write/edit in December. I'd love to begin quering in January and maybe (fingers crossed) have some good rejection letters in March - or maybe even a yes but I'm realistic as this is my first time putting my work out there.

3) How have you planned for this month? Yes. From about August I began outlining because I picked up the book "30 Days to a First Draft". I also announced to my family that "I am writing - so give me space." Then I found out about Nano and it all seemed to fit together nicely as I've been getting stuck on editing as opposed to 'just writing'.

4) Where do you see yourself at the end of the month? With a really long draft to edit into a lovely novel that others will enjoy reading.

5) If you've done NaNoWriMo before, what has your past experiences been
like? Nope, first timer and enjoying it so far!

1) Why are you doing NaNoWriMo?
I enjoy writing and figured that this would be as good as motivation as any. Now that I started I can't leave the story un-finished it just wouldn't be write. I also am a big fan of the NaNoWriMo community, so that's an added bonus
2) What are your hopes for NaNoWriMo?
To finish and have enough pride in the story to show it to at least one person.
3) How have you planned for this month?
I decided on Nov 1st to do it when I noticed that someone's facebook status was "Just started NaNoWriMo and I'm panicking."
4) Where do you see yourself at the end of the month?
50k words exactly. Not really I see myself winning and then going back and changing my names and my friends names to non-existent names. Can't wait for that. (NOT!)
5) If you've done NaNoWriMo before, what has your past experiences been like?
Nope, I'm a newbie = )

I figure I'll be the first veteran to post this.

1) Why are you doing NaNoWriMo? At this point, it is tradition. I love the challenge, doing things outside of my comfort zone. Also, the community spirit and write ins are a big part of the fun.

2) What are your hopes for NaNoWriMo? To have fun, which is already a big check. I obviously would also like to have a usable product at the end.

3) How have you planned for this month? Not even the little tiniest bit. Just an idea, and off I went :)

4) Where do you see yourself at the end of the month? Half-crazed, waving my 50,000 word document at horrified passersby.

5) If you've done NaNoWriMo before, what has your past experiences been like? I have enjoyed the hell out of it every year. The desperation in the beginning, the joy at chugging along in my story after the first week, the utter despair in the middle of the month, and of course the manic frenzy at the end. It's all totally worth it. And as I already said, the write ins are awesome. I love hanging out with people who are also driving themselves crazy for no good reason :)

1) Why are you doing NaNoWriMo? Several reasons. I'm part of an online writing group, and most of us do it every year. I also enjoy writing, but usually end up reading far more; on this month, I do the writing thing. I've been hyped up for this since it hit October.

2) What are your hopes for NaNoWriMo? I know I'm going to finish this year. I want to get this story down on paper and finish to 50k, and then if I need to keep going, finish the last of it in December, and then edit in January. I want to be able to tell people, I actually finished a novel.

3) How have you planned for this month? I asked a couple people questions, I created mood-playlists, picked an idea and a couple themes to work with, and just went with it from there.

4) Where do you see yourself at the end of the month? Sad to see it over. But gratified that I finished.

5) If you've done NaNoWriMo before, what has your past experiences been like? This is my third year, but my first as a college student. In high school, NaNo started as I was coming off of marching season, so the month was, on the whole, exhausting--lack of sleep before, too much homework during, good stuff like that. NaNoing was fun, but I didn't have the energy to finish. This year I do. I expect it to be thrilling to go beyond 20k.

1) Why are you doing NaNoWriMo? I heard about NaNo a few years ago (maybe 2005 or 2006?), and wanted to try it, but then I decided at the last minute I was "too busy" or whatever excuse I used. :P I didn't remember NaNo existed until a few weeks ago, and I decided this would be my year.

2) What are your hopes for NaNoWriMo? To finish. I really, really want to hit 50,000 before the end of the month. I'd be joyous. I know what I'm writing right now isn't great, and at the end of the month I'll put it aside and begin writing something more interesting... but I don't care. In my mind, this is good writing practice & discipline for me. I'll worry about quality for next year's NaNo.

3) How have you planned for this month? I don't know, honestly. I didn't do much. I began outlining but scrapped it last minute, then changed my plot last minute. I'm basically winging it based on my MC.

4) Where do you see yourself at the end of the month? Happy for finishing, I hope. Like I said, I'm not worrying about quality, I just like the discipline of having to write every day, and (hopefully) reaching a goal.

5) If you've done NaNoWriMo before, what has your past experiences been like? Not applicable. I was too lazy previous years, haha.
