Anyone want to get together today? Could hit Muldoon's or Barnes and Noble, which worked well last night. Could even take over Fuddruckers as they do have free WiFi and yummy burgers ;-)

I don't know what Muldoon's is, or Fuddruckers, but I'd be keen to get together this evening. Maybe at 7 or so if we're going to a restaurant, to avoid the worse of the crowds.
Though I have a strange desire to get dinner at Outback and then write and chat. (I have allergy issues, so my choices for food seem to be PeiWei, Outback, Alburtos(spelling), and a handful of others.
Cheers,
Bahamut/Christina

Mudloon's is the new coffee house that opened in Culpepper's plaza. Decent prices and drinks (and a few snack/pastry items), but best of all, tons of seating and outlets :-P Fuddruckers is a hamburger place that has really good burgers, and also has some fish and chicken dishes, and I believe buffalo and ostrich burgers for the more daring. I love their three cheese burger and am about to head there for lunch.
I have yet to eat at Outback here, though I loved it when I lived in NC. It would be a bit out of my budget, though, and not sure how laptop friendly it would be? Pei Wei rocks, but the seating is to close together, its hard to work there. Did you mean Abuelos? They had pretty good food (an an interesting selection for a Mexican restaurant). None of them have wi-fi though.

Well, if we went with a place I couldn't eat at, I'd just eat before I went. Or maybe we'd end up at one of those cafe places anyways :)
If we threw tables together at PeiWei could it work?
No wi-fi might be a good thing ;)

I wonder if Pei Wei would let us do that? Never tried it before, but would guess not. No wifi is probably good, but no outlets limits us to two hours max LOL

I called Pei Wei just b/c and they don't have outlets are are busy from about 6:30 to 8. Maybe a lunch thing tomorrow or next weekend??
Shall we just go to Muldoon's or B&N again and meet at 7? (8?)
Col, I think it's your call :)

Culpepper is the shopping center on Texas Ave where the Kohls and Chick-fil-a are located. Between Texas and George Bush and Texas and Harvey.
While B&N worked well, the problem with it is the lack of outlets, as it limits how long we can go. If we want go to longer, I'd say let's do Muldoon's as they seemed to have an outlet for every seat there. They also had some nice alcoves and large seating areas for groups already set up. 7 or 8 would work for me.

B&N is the only place I think I can get to without a car (correct me if I'm wrong, since I've never been to half the places mentioned), so I'll probably have to pass. My home internet (I'm right next to campus, to give you an idea of my position) has been shoddy lately at best, so free wifi sounds pretty darn good right now.
----------I need a title for my story. On second thought...I probably need a plot first. Oops.

Depending on what part of campus you are on, Culpepper Plaza is about the same distance as Barnes and Noble, or slightly further. Basically up George Bush to Texas, cross over, and go right past the hotel and its there on the left.
There are a lot of student apartments near there, so A&M has a bus that goes on the street behind it. Route 22, Excel (the Campus View stop - http://transport.tamu.edu/transit/routemaps/22.pdf ). If you took the bus, you'd get off and just walk towards Texas Ave. Culpepper is the shopping center past the extended stay hotel, on the right...then just come through the parking lot to the set of stores perpendicular to the Kohl's store.

Muldoon's sounds good to me. Lots of places to sit, and lots of outlets.
I went there a few times this past week, and it was pretty busy, but maybe since it's a Sat night there won't be a lot of students there trying to study.
Time? :)

Today was another productive write in! I managed to add another 2347 words to my novel, bringing me past the 20% point. Yay! It was nice meeting two more folks tonight as well. Look forward to doing it again :)

Yep, that was fun, and quite productive for me as well--I managed to add 2860 words, yay! I'm very glad that Muldoon's wasn't very crowded, so we got comfy seats (which is always a plus). *grins*
It was good meeting y'all! We'll have to do it again next weekend.
