Ok, I'm leaving to go up to our Internetless lake house, and I'm going to be writing from my iPod, and I need a word count app that's free (I have 1 cent on my iTunes account) so I can constly know what my word count is..
Anyone know of one?

Unfortunately I don't think there is one. I have pretty much the full compliment of NaNo-centric apps on my iPhone and I paid for almost all of them.
My Writing Nook is the best IMO, you can write in both portrait and landscape mode, it syncs with the online My Writing Nook and it tells you what your word count is for each little file in there. It's my fave, and it's $1.99.
There's NaNoMoJo, $0.99, that lets you keep track of your word count as well as your buddies. It does, however, need the 'net to work so if you've got a Touch and you're not in a wifi area it won't be of any help to you.
WriteChain is free, but you need to manually enter your word count, it won't count it for you.
And, I haven't downloaded it yet, but I hear Write Room is supposed to be good, but it is the most expensive at $4.99. I'm thinking about it though, because I scored a free copy of the desktop program and I kinda like it.
Hope that helps, and good luck!!

Wrimo Demon! My friend made it, and iTunes released it just before November began. I helped her beta it, and I fell in love with it. It lets you put in how many words you have, and it calculates how many you have left, what percent of your novel is finished, and how many words per day you need to write to finish on time. Plus the mascot is an adorably friendly demon :)
