William's Coffeee Pub on the corner of Dorchester and Thoraldstone Rd, Niagara Falls.
7pm
Now, there's a wee little challenge that I, your faithful ML has encountered. Demagis, CrimsonKurs, and I have to go dress shopping in Toronto. So the three of us may be a little later then 7pm. But just because you don't see us, that's ok! We WILL be there. Just look for other people sittling there with their laptops awkwardly looking up every time someone walks in the door, they're more then likely part of NaNo.
Or if someone get's smart, they can print off a NaNo write-in meet sheet and fold it on the table for everyone to see, and save the slight awkwardness. *grin* just a suggestion.
See you guys tomorrow!!! (I hope there'll be more then last week.) The more people writing together, the more creative we'll become! Plus, there's the added bonus of being able to get some help and input.
If you need a ride, check the RIDES!!! forum post and we'll get you set up!
If you post in any of the forums, I get notification on my phone so if you need to get a hold of me for rides purposes or anything, I'll be a keypad away!
Cheers, scull, kiipis, and keep writing!!!
Ella

I wish I could go with you all, but my dad would probably rupture something. Sigh, being 27 and blind sucks sometimes.
What about those of us who can't make it for whatever reason, could we do a conference type thing with those of you who are at the pub? Yahoo, msn, whatever?

27 and blind? Dad can't drive you *hint hint hint* Because it would be a great opportunity to meet new people *hint hint hint* (that one usually works on my mother when I'm traveling for concerts.)
MSN conference at sessions, I like that idea!
----------My MSN contact is: kerrwyvern@hotmail.com
(yea, copy and paste is the best idea on that one, lol)

I'll be there, maybe a few minutes later than 7. What's the power situation at Williams? Are their enough outlets? Would I be wise to bring a power bar with me?

I suggest hitting the room off to the side with the doors, it has lots of outlets.
Bring a power bar, better safe then sorry.
Being late is okay, just how up, lol
I'm thinking of a word war for everyone, see how well we're doing and get us that much closer to Demagis' word count.

I don't think I'll be able to go. I don't really think my mom would want to drop me off at a Coffee shop alone with a bunch of adults she's never met before. I'll probably add kerry to my msn and get on around (or a bit after) 7. You'd probably wouldn't want a 13-year-old girl there anyways. No one really wants younger people around. :P

Oh, I would love to go, but I don't have a ride and I'm quite a bit younger than everyone else. (18). If anyone would be willing to give me a ride from St. Catharines I would most likely come.

Just back from the write in-and for anyone who wonders whether this is a worthwhile outing or still sitting on the fence about coming... I wish I could have stayed longer, and that I lived closer to the meeting place! Thisis a must do.
I had no idea how prolific I could be - just being around others on the same mission really made a difference and those 2100 added words from that small bit of time will take me far into the week: I made it past a creative challenge I was having with a specific scene. woohoo!
Not to mention the fn+F9 trick I would have NEVER NEVER learned if I hadn't gone!
Thanks so much Ella! That one thing alone has changed my ability to retain the integrity of my hard work forever. It was great to meet everyone and I hope I can make it next Sunday...

If there is a Write-In next Sunday, I might make, but I might also spend the weekend curled up in a ball with icepacks glued to my mouth. I'm getting all four Wisdom teeth out on Thursday (And I'm so scared.) So I might not want to leave the house.
But I'll see how I feel on Sunday. :P

The boyfriend and I would have come out, but we're both under the weather, and it's better to not infect the healthy.
I've only scanned through the postings, but does anyone have skype? That way next week, regardless of health, I can be there. = )

BooksDiva: Thanks for sharing what you thought of the write in. I wish you were closer too so you could have stayed longer, but at least we'll next week to do it again, and we'll always have Paris. Erm, I mean last week.
Kendra: I know the pain of wisdom, I had all four taken out in one shot a few years back. Good luck with them. We're going to be holdng the meets every sunday, so make it when you can.
Pappion (aka Oni): Sorry, I can't spell butgterfly in french for some odd reason today...
----------You and the boy better show up, not infecting the healthy was appreciated, especially if you're in the process of turning into zombies.
See you next week love!

Haha. Kay, I'll ask if I can make it to this Write-In. I'm in DESPERATE need to raise my word count (I haven't even made it to 10K yet!) I might look like a chipmunk with swollen cheeks :P
Some people are telling me that getting them out now versus when I'm like 20 is better, cause the older you get the more it hurts, but some people tell me it hurts alot. So I'm confused. And still freaking scared. And I can't eat anything from 8:30 am - 1 pm. Torture I tell you... TORTURE! :P
What is some of the stuff you guys do at the Write-in so I know what to expect. :P

What to expect in a Write-In, eh?
*insert evil ML laughter here*
Um, well first and foremost, caffinated sustinance.
Next up: people with note books and on laptops.
Thirdly; words, and writing. Yup definitly random words colliding together to make unexpected sentenced furthering your plot and word count.
Fourthly (and my favourite part): FUN and GAMES!!!! (oh, and stickers too.) This past week everyone learned about the value and fun of Word Wars. A Word War is a time limit in which everyone tries to type as much as they can, as fast as they can. Write Fast, Not Good. Word Wars teach you to turn off your inner editor for a set period of time. It also shows you how great of an invention Spell Check really is. Because as we all learned Sunday; sure you can type 1,247 words in 30 minutes, but only 14 of them are spelt right. LOL. That's to be expected.
What really made me proud was that everyone was doing in and around 1,000 words in thirty minutes, AWESOME GUYS!!!!
And I have a few other little ideas I think I'll test out on you guys next week (mwahahahahahaaaaaa*coughcough*!)
I hope that sounds like fun, cause it is!

also, just as an fyi for anyone lacking portable technology, i only have a netbook. if you're lucky, you can find them for only $200 in some places. they're a bit smaller, so they're a bit of an adjustment, but personally, i think they're wonderful. i love my little netbook. (i even have a song, sung to the tune of my little pony that i sing to it when i'm happy with it, haha. yes, i'm off my rocker completely, just as our friendly MLA). also, if you get reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaally lucky, sometimes places like value village and the goodwill have them, always under $100 and usually in fairly ok condition. = )

Plus, I have stickers curtisy of the Office of Light and Letters (aka NaNoWriMo) that are to be given strickly to those whom show up for the write-ins. It's kinda tres cool, not gonna lie to ya folks!

If KerrWyvern, Crimsoncurse and I are all there? Lots of hypercaffeinated*, incoherent rambling about events and characters living in at least six different universes and more inside jokes than you can throw a labtop bad at.
Also, you can come bask in my glory. Pick my brain for advice on destroying your wordcount, sending it whining and crying home to mama.
And, as someone pointed out - STICKERS!!!!
*the three of us don't believe there is such a creature as 'too much caffeine;' you've been warned.

I picked up mine for under $400. His name is Epsilon and I love him. Cause I don't really have anything running on it but msword, the battery lasts for like five or six hours, easy.
I am going to miss him in December when the fiance gets custody of him. Tear :(

Sounds like fun. :P Now all I have to do is convince my parents to let me go. I might not go this Sunday because of 1) my wisdom teeth out tomorrow and 2) I have to volunteer at some Christmas in November activity at the church. I also might not go cause I'm not allowed to bend my head down for a couple of days (cause of the surgery), and since the laptop I'd bring is mini, I'd have to bend my head down... alot. :P
