So the retreat that I wanted to do for two years and planned intricately for one never happened, so since I had the weekend all blocked off anyway, I decided to wander around South Jersey coffee shops, just staying out of the house and writing.

I really wanted to get ahead of the count this weekend, but I didn't make 10000 by yesterday (even though I wanted to write when I got in at 1 am after a friends birthday night...not gonna happen....) So my goal is 17,000 words by 12 am Monday morning...will be coffee-shop-hopping all weekend!

Did 1000 words at home and just got to the Treehouse for the first 2000 word installment! I think there's a new place in Haddon Heights I'm going to try next, then on to Haddonfield. I grabbed lolauren's mug from the write-in and am taking it around with me....will post photos when I can get the time....

BTW, Three Beans is now called Jersey Java! I'll be there later tonight probably... let me know if you want to meet up somewhere in Camden County today or tomorrow, I can probably be there! :)

I have had the worst week at work so presently I am in my pajamas still....Then I HAVE TO clean and get some laundry done seeing as I haven't been home all week. The rest of my day is in a bit of a flux as everything depends on what others are doing. I'll keep checking back though because if I end up with a chunk of free time I'll probably come hang our for a bit.

Word Count before starting at the Treehouse: 7040
Wrote 1052 words in 85 minutes

Drink: Carmel Soy Latte, $4.80
Mood: First Grade Birthday Party!! Whee! High School Musical Karaoke and inflatable guitars!!! YAAAHH only managed 1000 words before beating it the hell out of there.

After debating healthy lunch vs. pizza, pizza won, so I had garlic knots and white pizza @ Angelo's across the street ($4.50). Wrote 500 words, mostly while I was waiting.

Forgot about going to Haddon Heights & couldn't find parking on Kings Highway for the Grind House so I just went on to the new Jersey Java. Wow is it fancy. Time for 2000 more words.

I'm thinking the Crepe & Ribbon on Kings Highway in Haddonfield around 6ish Saphira! Crepes for dinner, yum....Then probably on to Starbucks afterward since they seem to be the only place open late-ish.

Highschool musical birthday party? Wow! That is crazy. I now have the whole night open so I'll probably head out for dinner soon. We are currently scanning "the book" for ideas. By the time I'm done dinner you may be having yours so I'll probably head straight to Starbucks. It's a shame Philly Dinner doesn't have power outlets, they're open all night and have lots of coffee and cheese fries. I'll send you my cell number in a private message so it plans change or something you can let me know.

OK cool, will be fun to have company tonight! We will have to find a 24 hour diner with outlets...maybe the Club diner on 168??

Word count before Jersey Java: 8464
Wrote 1500 words in IDK how many minutes (i clicked off Write or Die before writing it down, boo. seemed like forever and i was really squirming by the end of it....

Drink: Skinny Pumpkin Spice Latte, $3.80
Mood: Awesome Mod 60s rock/pop/motown soundtrack that made me want to dance. Although that may have been the coffee....that place had the most comfortable seats I've ever spent two hours in.

Broke 10,000 words! Taking a much deserved break at the Crepe and Ribbon. Boy has this place changed! Not a little coffee shop hangout anymore, it's a real like, restaurant. But the crepes are still awesome--spinach crabmeat and artichoke. I had a plain spinach crepe at Max Brenner's last night, this one was much better.

Ok enough off topic ramblings! Time to play some games!! Starbucks w/Saphira @ 8. Going to try to write 3,000 more words tonight, then I'll only have 4000 to write tomorrow!

well. it would take much too long to describe the last few hours of my wandering noveling, but I'm going to strike the Haddonfield Starbucks off my list of places to write. Hopefully I won't have to strike all of Haddonfield off my list, but I think I'll avoid it at least for tomorrow.

I didn't drink any more coffee, but I also didn't write any more. Not exactly my fault! Hope you got some words in Saphira :)
