Well, my computer monitor is pretty much done for. I mean, I'm typing from it now, but the controls are shot. My horizontal center isn't functioning and my screen is off center. I can't see the far right of my screen. Everything's on center up until it gets to the login screen when booting up.
Time for a new monitor or some form of replacement. -sigh- I so do not have the money for this.
Even worse, it's killing my NaNo groove in ways I cannot bear. I can still use my computer, but the screen being messed up is monumentally distracting and I can't get past it. Honestly, the prospect of finishing out nano on my PDA is... not appealing. Or worse... by hand.
Such awful, awful timing.

Indeed, the timing is horrible~ If I were in the same situation I couldn't concentrate either. My thoughts would dwell too much on that I couldn't see a portion of my writing as I go. When I am finished a writing set I also enjoy reading it over. Have you tried minimizing the word program and shifting it over to the left side of your screen or whichever side it is that would make it easy to see the whole thing. This is the only quick fix I can think of besides purchasing a new one or having it looked at.

Would you like to borrow a 17" at least until the end of Nano?
My desktop monitor hasn't been used in some time since moving to a laptop...

Ah, crisis averted. One of my parent's friends has a CRT I can have. It'll do until I can actually purchase myself something significantly better. Blocky, awkward CRTs are... well, blah. They should be bringing it over when they pick me up to take me to the write-in, shortly. :)
Thanks for the offer, though. ^.^

No worries. :)
Might even try to make it to the write in today... How long do they usually run?

I'm not certain. This will be my first one. Um... two to three hours, I imagine.
