I think I'm just going to use one thread for all the Saturday write-ins. Makes things less cluttered.

Who is around today? What are your goals for the day? Having any problems? Or maybe fun stories of success?

If you need it, here's a site with writing prompts, name generators, and tons of other stuff if you're stuck: http://languageisavirus.com/.

This blogger is writing a dare/prompt for every day in November. If you're feeling uninspired, maybe one of her suggestions will get your brain going: http://lenalothanas.blogspot.com/search/label/NaNoWriMo.

Who is around today?
I'm here. I'm getting annoyed at my progress graph (http://www.nanowrimo.org/NanowrimoUtils/ProgressReport/207483.html), so my goal is to make it say that, at the minimum, I'm going to finish on time. LOL. I'm weird, I'll admit, but that's seriously what my inspiration is lately, now that images are working again.

What are your goals for the day?
Besides the basic 11667 goal, I'm hoping to at least get my characters "talking" and not just throwing insults. We'll see if they agree to that. So far, they just want to kill each other. So not working out how I'd planned for this to go, :(

Having any problems?
Besides my characters wanting to go insane on me (or drive me insane, whichever works), my main problem is staying focused. I keep finding ways of not doing what I'm supposed to be doing, which is writing. Still dealing with this flu, which is now a sinus cold thing with maybe a minor fever, so meds are having me all sorts of fuzzy (which works great at night for half-asleep writings, LOL, but not good for day).

Or maybe fun stories of success?
Well, the past couple days, I've been struggling to write, but finally found my solution: Glee soundtrack, on repeat, LOL. Works so well. I can block out the world with that blaring in the background. And it drives my husband insane, so he leaves me alone, LOL!

I know that on Thursday, my goal was to make my progress sheet say I'd finish in November. Mine is an Excel sheet that I found that was made by one of the other MLs.

Anyhow, I know what you mean about focus. As we speak, I have a load of dishes going, two loads of laundry, and I just fed the cats and fixed dinner. At this rate, my house will be completely clean in a couple days, but my wordcount will not be nearly big enough. I know that after this week, my month goes crazy, so I really need to step it up. But this not-having-an-outline thing really gets to me when I start to get near the end of a scene and I realize that I don't know where things are going after that. I think I have some ideas, but I'm not sure what it would mean for what little I have of an outline.

I just downloaded that, and am playing around with it. Mine doesn't tell me when I'll finish but I like seeing it say that I'm over the daily word goal, LOL!

Well, I hit my goal for today (to add 1667) and now I am just procrastinating at the computer so that I don't have to help with chores.
Obviously that is an abuse of nanowrimo goodwill in my household, so I better get back to the story and finish up the scene that YES, ANOTHER random boy character is trying to hijack with compelling cuteness, or else I need to get up and go do the dishes....

Happy writing everyone!

Perhaps my entire novel can be written during hours and minutes that my toddler is sleeping. Perhaps not.

Just about one hour left! Anybody still pushing for those last few hundred words to increase their word count for the day?

I pretty much quit at 11689, but I was so proud for it.
Had a few surprises in my story, LOL.
One character knocked up another character. Um, when did that happen? LOL. Now to figure out some back story for that to add words. Though that might make it harder if I plan on using that story next, LOL. What's really funny is that my MCs haven't stopped fighting each other long enough to even do *anything* romantic. Yet, my other characters are getting pregnant.

Well, I hit 15k, though it wasn't before midnight. And I figured out my killer a little more. And found out that one of my cops is a really really overly nice guy. I have a feeling that he and the MC are going to become friends.

Anyway, maybe your pregnant character will make your MC's biological clock start ticking and she'll be nicer to the other MC. Or not. You never know how girls respond to that sort of thing.
