Hey Killer Mud Penguins,
I looked our region up on the Word Count scoreboard. We're at number 333. not bad, but if we keep up on posting our updates we can move up Should we challenge Moscow Idaho at 316 to a word war or is that too big a stretch? I hear they have a lot of inteelekuals out there that could give us a challenge. What dya say Liz, oh wise leader. Last year, as I recall, we beat the hell out of Estonia, an entire country! BTW I can't twitter cuz I don't have the technological skills. This year I learned how to use a cell phone(just the basics, no texting yet) and how to read the results of my lottery tickets Iwith the maching in the convenience store. I do have a bird character named Twit from last year's novel before we all heard about twittering. She's a lovely starling, part of Tweeter's DoWop choir

Holly, Liz and I are already coordinating on who to go to war with. Once we've figured it out we'll probably post a forumn thread for the group.

We have moved up to 328out of 484 regions possible--not bad!) and Brazil has moved down to 322-- can we make an effort to catch up? Sure we can. Oh, and by the way if you want to know how to check our progress go to Fun Stuff, then Wordcount Scoreboard(I had to learn this last year). Let's write long, long novels this year! Everyone seems to be increasing their wordcount compared to last year at this point. Go, go little killer mad penguins, flap those wings and write, write write.

Did everyone notice how we have gained ground in the war with Brazil? We are closing the gap and we're now at 325! Watch out, Brazil! You may get to host the Olympics AND the World Cup, but you might get beaten by Lewis Co. in the 2009 NaNoWriMo word war!! (Hurry and write, everyone!)

We've picked up at least 2 new members and that's helped push us over the top.

Now I must see about pushing up my word count.

We also do a pretty great job at individual averages! Did you see Liz's note that our average words per writer is higher than Seattle's? And they're #1 in total numbers.

WOW! I'm so impressed with us! I would really like to meet more of the 81 people signed up in our county. I'm a very "social" writer. I need other people around me to get ideas, and my husband is getting worn out. Is anyone going to the write-in Thursday night at Centralia Library? And don't forget the write in for our Lewis County Writer's Guild meeting. The night will be devoted to writing and READING some of our fresh nano work, (unedited of course) at our spoken word open mic. This would be a great time for folks to get acquainted with the Lewis County Writer's Guild. Starts at 5pm at the Matrix.. Food and drink available for purchase.
