The Mark Twain write-in has been approved! It's going to be on Sunday, November 15 at 1 pm in the cafe area of the visitors' center.
I don't yet know if we'll be charged for admittance to the visitors' center. I'm going to guess not, but just to be on the safe side, please bring $6 for admission just in case, and if not, then bonus! :)
If I can get at least 10 people to commit to being there (not including me) then I can get a discount on house tours, which are normally $14. Also nextdoor is Harriet Beecher Stowe's house, another very important author of the time.
Please RSVP to chrissyml@comcast.net if you're interested. Thanks!

Folks - I counter-programed by accident. I can swap out the meet up I have up there and put this one on instead, or post both, what would people prefer?

Barring unforeseen circumstances, I'll try and stop by for a little while to do some writing; not so sure about the house tour though, as I just went on it over the summer.

Regarding finding the Mark Twain House, it's at 351 Farmington Avenue in Hartford, CT.
You can probably find directions also on the web site www.marktwainhouse.org.

Unfortunately I have to be at work at 1, but I do plan on being at barnes and noble in canton from about 10 to 12 or 12:30, trying to get some writing done.

Everyone who was there should do a little roll call. So I can attach a face to a screen name.

Roll call's a good idea - I was the redheaded thing in the Led Zeppelin shirt. I'm sorry I couldn't stay longer, but I had a great time!

I'm the one who organized the day. I have brown hair and I work at the Twain House. I'm not Caitlin, who was the one with the light hair and had her hair up. I had the white macbook and instigated the word wars. :)
