Do you mean from Japan to other places? Google silk export Japan Meiji and tea export Japan Meiji for heaps of useful links. http://www.itoen.co.jp/eng/allabout_greentea/history_of_tea/index.html is one of them.

Inside Japan, follow the railway lines and the ports.
