Okay. We all has them. The little things that drive us up the wall when we're trying to write, and we're just about in the zone (You know the zone....that awesome fast lane to creativeness that is why some of us write, because that zone is almost better than chocolate...almost...) And then...bam! That little thing happens that makes you grind your teeth, takes you out of fifth gear, and you have to jam on your headphones/earplugs/cone of absolute silence to get started again...
Do any of you know what I mean?
Okay, well here's mine. And all of them happened today, so I'll just say it.
When I'm in the zone and I've got my earphones in, and I'm typing away, and I get the tap on my shoulder.
When the kitten decides that my fingers make the best toy ever, because they are moving so fast and MUST be for his enjoyment.
When I look at the watch and it's 12:30am and I know I have to be up early tomorrow to do yardwork so I can get to the game and hang out with friends, and yet...it's going so well, do I sacrifice sleep or do I stop and hope the juices flow as well tomorrow?
y'argh! y'know?
so. What are yours? Because I want to know that I'm not the only one who runs into these. And if I am, can someone at least pretend that I'm not the only crazy one here? heh.
Thanks.

When I'm at work and doing some writing over lunch, that hour is very short when I got my grove on.
When I know just where I'm going and I have to be somewhere like a movie. It's kind of hard to write notes in a dark theatre.
When I'm typing along and then hit a huge road block and spend just as much time as I did writing trying to figure out how to get out or where to go from there.

When I have this great idea in my head and I really, really want to grab my pen and notebook and write, write, write, but the baby decides that's when she really needs mommy to hold her, or she refuses to take a nap, or in some other way makes it impossible for me to write. But I love her anyway! : )

When a certain little brother decides it would be funny to sneak up behind you and yell BOO! really loud right in your ear.
When the music suddenly stops because it's the end of the playlist.
When you finally give in and write about tarantulas and tea parties, only to realize that you can never use it in the novel. (But it did give me 500 words...)
When you realize you are over 10k behind in your novel, and sink into a pit of despair.
Edit: When your brother plays trumpet at a crucial plot point.
