I have realized that will you all being so great, that I haven't explained what those nifty halos are for (though for some reason they keep reminding me of SpaghettiOs today).

As you may or may not know, NaNoWriMo is a program run by the non-profit, Office of Letters and Light. They also run Script Frenzy and the amazing Young Writers Program, which gets school-aged children writing.

As a non-profit they get some funding from grants, but due to the shear size of NaNoWriMo, they always need more funding. This year the estimated cost of National Novel Writing Month and the Young Writers Program is over $375,000. You can donate by cash, PayPal, or by check at the Donation Station, purchase merchandise from the store (most merchandise makes about $6 in profit for OLL), you can even donate if you're broke! Donations are also tax-deductible.

As of this post, our region has donated $520! We're 46th in our league and according to the blurb, 6.96% of you have donated! Still higher than average (3.86%)! You are amazing!

I never knew about that GoodSearch thing! I'm glad I can donate even though I'm poor. :)
