I just want to point out that your post makes no sense and therefore makes it difficult to figure out whether or not one fits.

Well, my wordcount is accurate again. I just lost 150 words. That's a sucky feeling.

At sunset, I heard the soft parade (of a thousand words, of course!) just coming. They were a dead ringer for love, and even though I'm not writing romance, I took them out of the frying pan, and into the fire: I gave them one more kiss, then plunged them into my mystery. Some of them - 333 to be exact - had a bad attitude, and they dashed away. But I kept the other 667... and two out of three ain't bad, right?

And I'll stop now, before someone decides this post is a lemon :) (too late? *heh*)

So are the rest of you writing intensely melodramatic novels with emotionally tormented, larger-than-life main characters who live in Gothic mansions with dangerous women, ride their motorcycles recklessly, and wear their unrequited loves and losses on their puffy, heavily-embroidered sleeves?

You're not saying anything about the length of Jim Steinman's songs, now, are you? :)

I like Steinman's songs and all, but they just don't have enough motorcycles, waves, beaches, angels, & banshees in heat.

Yeah...

Such a clean cut, quiet, *Nice* boy, that Steinman...

It is too bad that nothing over-the-top ever happens in his songs.

Why hot patootie, bless my soul! He is! Always was... even growing up. I remember every little thing, as if it happened only yesterday.

Me too, Professor. My rock and roll dreams are coming through, I guess.

By the way, Elfwriter, am I reading your profile correctly? This looks like your first nano win? Congrats!

(And because I can...): To para a phrase... it's no more than you deserve... *grin*

Thank you! Yes, it's my first win.

I'm tired, so I can't think of anything Steinmanesque or Meatloafian to say about that, but...

After twelve years of writer's block, and thinking I might not be able to write again...I couldn't be happier.

I see you've won three times! Congratulations!!

Hmmm. I didn't get that one..? (The two in one)

But I see there's a new Meat Loaf album that's supposed to be out in April of 2010. (However, I don't think Steinman is involved with this one, since they weren't getting along too well a few years back.)

Apparently my creativity is taking a break, so I don't really have anything to add to this thread, except that all of you with lyric-punning skills crack me up!

Today was defective?

Well, I hope things are better tomorrow.

Remember, there's always something magic. There's always something new. And when you really, really need it the most, you'll think of something that'll give you the 18K words you need to finish.
