A huge thanks to our ML, Zhie, for all her hard work and anal-retentive planning. You are fully appreciated, today, and every day...
And hey, do I get an extra sticker for being the first to suck up?
:)

Thank you for taking on a big tough job. There is a lot of positive energy on the board for this region and as ML, you have certainly had a key part in making this true.

Not only is Zhie the only ML I've ever had, but she's also the best! ;-) Seriously though, you're one awesome ML, and we (if I may be so bold as to speak for the other NaNoers) appreciate everything you do for us!

Hey, I'm all for sucking-up. =D Especially to the wonderful Zhie. I had so much fun yesterday and was really productive!
Um, but then I've always been a little slow on the abbreviations thing, so what exactly does ML stand for?
Looking forward to future write-ins and talking with fellow writers from the area!

Thanks for everyone you've done, Zhie! I had a great time yesterday at the Write-In. You and everyone else there made me feel very welcome, and it was a fun experience. So bravo for all the hard work you've put into making NaNoWriMo such an awesome community.

Thanks! (I guess the matching ink inside the plot bunnies did give away my anal-retentive nature, eh? ;-)
Heh, looking for bribes for brown nosing... hmm... I'll have to see what I have left in the box 'o nano fun...
Thanks! Luckily, the big tough job is also quite a lot of fun for me. Also, the support and the attitude of the region play a big part in the success of a region... and our region is awesome!
Thanks! It's been a blast this year, and I'm really looking forward to the future (my anal-retentiveness means I've already starting planning next year's kick-off...)

Thanks! It was great meeting you yesterday -- check your nanomail, btw, in case you need a ride in the future I'm not too far from where you are.
And ML stands for Municipal Liaison ^_^
Thanks! It was great meeting you yesterday, and I'm glad you had a good time. Hope to see you at future write-ins!
And now, I'd like to take a moment to thank all of the people in the region who have been helping out, both behind the scenes and in front of the camera. They don't get a fancy title, just my heartfelt thanks and the knowledge that they're awesome.
First off, Mark (Smaug the Ranger) - besides being an awesome and understanding husband, he's also been the one to brainstorm with me on ideas for the gatherings, and to help with all of the set up and clean up. Plus, he makes sure I don't forget my laptop at the end of the write-ins - what a guy.
Also, Jake (apupinceylon) - whose text messages of word counts offer me a virtual kick in the pants to keep writing when my muses aren't helpful. Jake's the guy who helped to create the plots for the bunnies, fold the bunnies, and get them all into their appropriately colored bags (as well as find and put all the other goodies into the bags as well). Thanks Jake (and I guess we don't really hate you for your word count... in fact, do you happen to have a few thousand I could borrow?)
And thanks to MJ (book_maven) - for helping to set up and clean up at the kick off party, the write-in, and probably future write-ins, halfway day, tgio, and any other time she happens to be around. You're the best not-really-my-sister-sister anyone could ask for.
Last, but certainly not least, big thanks to Boone (JB Dryden) - keeping the words flowing on the east side, Boone finds great places to host write-ins in places I can't easily get to or at times I can't often hold them. Thank you so much for your support of the region!
Finally, a huge thanks to all of the awesome writers we have in our region, from Milwaukee to Waukesha, and reaching out to Kenosha, Racine, and Ozaukee -- we wouldn't have such a great region if it wasn't for such great people in our region. You're all fabulous, and I've had a blast over the last week meeting so many of you, and hope to meet many more of you in person in the future!
Now... let's go kick some Wisconsin: Elsewhere's butt! - the night is young, and I hear a word war calling to me...

And how like you to remember the other people as well. On behalf of all your minions and assorted allies, we thank you both for the great work and for thinking of us.
And Mark says your hair looks really good up like that--we'll look forward to that at the next write-in!
Right, I should probably go try to meet my weekly goal right now.

Did I mention that book_maven and Smaug also double as my stylists? (Actually, I put my hair up quick when I got up this morning so that I could just start writing right away...)

Yes, thank you!
I'm having a hard enough time just doing the basic NaNo thing, and can't even imagine trying to juggle all the coordinating, organizing and such you do in addition to working on your writing goals. Funny, human nature makes it so easy to see and complain about what doesn't work, but we often breeze right past appreciating those things that do.
So thanks again, for doing what you do. It's making my first year as a NaNoer pretty awesome. Hoping to meet you in person at some point too...
Just me, Dee
