I've crossed the 20k threshhold and am sitting on 21,372 words! Things are going so well, but unfortunately I have a complex that dissallows me from ever being satisfied :D So i've decided to write 2 books this year. So what's that mean? I'M BEHIND!!!
ps. does anybody else find themselves 'word padding' in their nano posts? >_>

I hit 20,582 words today, so I've surpassed my Nano record. In 2007, the last time I diligently tried to do Nano, I wrote around 17,000 words, then I got burned out and quit. It's a major milestone for me to surpass what I did that year.. My secret is doing an outline the night before for the chapter I'll do the next day. I don't stick rigidly to the outline, I add or subtract elements as I go along. Also, I have the ending kind of planned out, so knowing what will happen in advance helps me.
