... Or more precisely, my power cable.
Luckily the sudden lack of power didn't short out all the delicate little circuitry and do-dad's in my computer, I had a backup of my novel, oh, and the dog didn't get electrocuted... (Although it might be good for the little chewer to get a mild shock. She's too old for this stuff and she has more dog toys than I have pairs of shoes!)
UNFORTUNATELY my little bit of a lead has dwindled to nothing as it took two and a half days to get a new cord, and UGH *9SDFJLJFLKSJDFLKJADLKFJDSAJGLKDSJFLKDSHFJAHSDLKJASLKDELKAJSDL !!! < --- My current feelings, expressed.
Just had to come here and complain really quick before I dive right in and strive to make up my word count. Any words of encouragement out there for me?

Glad the schnauzer survived, and your novel as well! My younger cat keeps trying to get my attention by biting my power cable. I'm very afraid that I'll be posting something similar one of these days.
Hope you catch up quickly! Just keep writing and you'll get there, even if it's little by little.
