After trying and failing to write all day today, I finally found an idea to start at... at 12 AM. I think it's funny that I can only write at absurd hours of the night; I've got a feeling that I won't be sleeping very much tonight with all the catching up I need to do!

What about you all? What's your peak writing hour?

Here it is...1:30 AM where I'm at. Normally I have to be in bed, cuz I work an 8-5 job. But it's Saturday, I just got home from a date, and the muse is with me. So I'm going for it!

I have a bizarre sleeping pattern so I usually do my writing at night and in the small hours. I usually do a word war with the sun every day, usually 2000 words before the sun comes up whenever I feel like kicking myself in the butt for procrastinating.

I've always done my best work at odd hours. I was one of the few people who still had a bed time in high school, so I sat up with a flashlight and a notebook and an eye on my door for years. Days are for doing stuff, nights are for writing.

I have attempted to force myself into writing during the day, as well, since I am rather woefully behind, but I kind of failed after the first two days of forcing out 2k before I was allowed to open my internet browser. I suspect it's because I continue to sleep later and later into the day. I've forgotten what mornings are like. D:

On the other hand, I also picked up a copy of Pokemon Platinum yesterday (/geek) and I don't feel so bad for staying up writing and further ruining my sleeping schedule because it's not like I would have slept anyway.

I always seem to write best after 9 PM (most likely because then I'm the only one awake and it's nice and dark and quiet). I've been staying up until 1 AM to write, though... probably not the best idea :P

For me its definitely between 9:30pm until I fall asleep, which is usually about 2 in the morning. I'll write a hundred words here and there throughout the day, but nothing compares to the late night stints of just sitting in front of the computer and writing in the dead of night.

I am useless late at night (though I did manage some night wars last night). Late-night Wrimos like you are the reason my region has late-night write-ins at twenty-four hour places, though. Hope you have good dreams about your novel, though, especially since that is the last thing on your mind before going to bed. :)
