Word Count Validator issue for November 30th'ers

Posted by: Chris Baty on 11/29/2009

Dan is working on a Word Count Validator issue where the hamsters inside the thing have gotten a day ahead of themselves. If you're already in a realm where it's November 30th, you'll notice that you can't update your word count anymore and you see a curious caption on the homepage update block informing you that "NaNoWriMo 2008 is over."

Which it is.

But NaNoWriMo 2009 is still in full swing, and we apologize for the bad hamsters who are trying to prevent you from updating your word count and/or winning.

Until Dan fixes it, the easiest work-around is just to go in under User Settings and go to the "time zone" area and roll yourself back to a part of the world where it's still November 29th. Like California! Where we will welcome your time-traveling novelist self with open arms.

I'll update here once it's fixed and you can move yourself and your belongings back to your real time zone again.

Yay, crossing the two billion collective word-count mark!
