Yes! The novel isn't over, but I have reached and superseded the double NaNo.

I have two chapters and an Epilogue to write, and it *will* be done by tomorrow. It must be.
I have the day off, so it's writing from 7:00 AM until it's done.

Here's 100K: "him"

"Kelley didn't know it, but the ghost he'd unleashed on Patrick's head would quickly consume his speech capacities, leaving him a breathing vegetable that would keep the spirit occupied in the shadows until the host body ran out of nutrients all together."

Wow that sounds like a horrible way to go.

I have 3k more to write, and I've been up all night typing fast. It is now 6am. ummm.... sleep? Or 24-hour sprint? I think if I stay up much longer, I'll be typing gibberish in my sleep... and I've done that; it's really interesting what the mind invents as you're typing by rote instinct with zero consciousness.

Despite serious sleep deprivation and one horrendous migraine, I have slid into home base and reached (just barely) the coveted double-nano.

The final landmark word, number 100k, is, thankfully, not at all boring, but a word I'm rather pleased with: cremello (bonus points if you know what that means without googling it)

"Awilda watched her father from the glazed window of the high tower as he climbed onto his cremello gelding and cantered away in a stately gait, riding to the distant smoke and dust of battle forming a threatening plume on the horizon."

Yay! I reached it, as well, at 9:30 Nov 30th. And with that, my novel is done, NaNoWriMo 2009 is over, and I've proved that a high schooler can write a novel in a month without having a nervous breakdown. See you all next year!
