Hi, is anybody from the Iron Range doing NaNoWriMo? I think last year I was one of few and looks like it's the same this year. I know last year there was minimal chatter about a write-in. What about this year? Anybody? Anybody?

Marshall/Minneota Kickoff

Hello all!

I'm a teacher at Minneota Public, and I have several students (so far, grades 8-12) who are wanting to try NaNo this year (as I am). I have a Nov. 1 kickoff planned, from 4-6, at CJ's in Minneota (right on highway 68, north side of highway).

Feel free to join us if you're in the area and looking for something to do (and they have great pizza and broasted chicken if it's suppertime!), as I think my students seeing others involved would be good for them. And it's just fun!

I will just say that because I'm a teacher and this is a high school student group, that I would prefer appropriate behavior and language, if you know what I mean. Me on my own time is one thing, LOL, but leading students is an entirely different matter.

I and my husband, and perhaps another friend of ours, will be there with the kids (whichever ones can make it); feel free to come join us!

Oh, and CJ's has 1919 rootbeer on tap, served in iced mugs. Excellent writing lubrication! :)
