What software will you be using to write your novel?

WriteRoom, Microsoft Word, a basic text editor -- let us know what works for you and why.

Have you used any of the specialized plotting and character development software on the market?

Do you use any software to help you research?

No tool is a substitute for hard work, but when it comes to hard work you want the right tool for the job.

Personally, I am a Mac user and don't have strong feelings for any writing tools. I am interested in what works for you.

Date: Saturday, November 14th
Time: 1:30 until ??
Place: Meadowlark Cafe 1624 South Street, Lincoln, NE

Plans: Spend some time meeting fellow Wrimo's, food, fellowship and fun, then get down to writing! I know we have several high-school students involved in NaNoWriMo, so if parents want to accompany you, please feel welcome.

If you are planning on coming, please respond to the thread, so we have some rough idea of how many to expect for seating.

If you want to attend, but need transportation, particularly for our UNL students (but anyone), please either respond in the post, or off-list message me, and I'll work on getting you hooked up.

Plan on coming if you are on track with your word count, or if your word count is struggling. Come if you've thought about writing a word.. Just come... and be part of the fun of NaNoWriMo!

I'll bring a power cord, so we can plug in several laptops, and if anyone else wants to bring one, Super! Although, my new laptop shouldn't need a charge for 6 hours! :)

Wondering if there's anyone in the Bellevue area that might planning a kickoff of any kind. If not, how do you plan to kick off the event? If all else fails, and the weather nice enough, I'll be on the back deck with the laptop and lots of stuff to drink...
