Hello, I live in Marion, Ohio and I am looking for writers that might be partispating in NaNoWriMo that either live in Marion or very close by. I would love to meet my nearby fellow writers before November, so that we can encourage each other for a good start off on November 1st.

I am almost have my outline done..so I am almost ready for November 1st. Are you?

MUNoWriMo: GLORIOOOOOOUS.

The site is back up, in its gloriousness, EARLY! I already have ideas for my fourth NaNo novel -- ftr, my goal is to FINISH this year...and we're gearing and ready to book King up to its ears!

Ahem. Welcome back to those who know me, and for those who don't, my name is Emily (aka Manzana Flash -- and I also answer to 'hey you') and I am the Municipal Liaison for Oxford, Ohio, aka Miami University (though we LOVE townies). This will be my third year MLing for Oxford, and I'm super-excited with this year's happenings. Usually, I'm a super busy person, being a music major and a nearly full time radio DJ (with the work I do, of course), but come November I have a habit of dropping everything and standing tall and firm as an ML of DOOM. If you have ANY questions about NaNoWriMo, PLEASE do not hesitate to ask me. As I said before this is my fourth year doing this, and I really do love doing it (almost as much as radio -- which is just as off the wall).

I want to also thank GrandFromage for putting up signs all over campus -- as usual, Fromage is right on things. (We can all make fun of him now. Even you, Kat Mitroi, who even though you're not here, we'd love to have you around the forum!)

So this forum is officially open! Does anybody have any suggestions about what to do for write-ins? Any special treats? Fun this or that? Suggestions to newcomers? A kick-off party WILL be planned as things get closer, I promise.

ATHENS: Welcome Back, My Friends...

And so we begin again. I am the ML for Athens, OH and the surrounding area, returning for my third year. Historically we only get a very few participants -- single digits -- so we'll have a real chance to get to know each other quite well.

This year I'm hoping that we see more people who aren't Ohio University students. Those of you who do go to OU are of course the backbone of our tiny group, but most of you leave the area before NaNo is over. I'd like to add local resident authors into the mix as well. We've had a few nibbles before, so I'm hoping we can encourage them to join in and come to meet-ups and write-ins.

Our venue of choice last year was Donkey Coffee's second floor, which seemed to work very well for everyone involved. If we do get more people joining, we might have to find somewhere with a bit more space, but for now I foresee this should continue to be our meeting place.

This year I would like to encourage more participation from all of you. The past two years, no one has had anything to say about group activities, and I'd like that to change. NaNoWriMo is as much about the group experience as it is the writing madness. Planning for meet-ups and write-ins, suggesting activities and interacting here on the forums are all part of the fun! Don't be afraid to speak up.

At the time of this writing we have over a whole month to get ready. Take some time to introduce yourselves to each other. If you'd like to get together some evening in October, that would be fantastic. I'm looking forward to a great year with you all!

Hola all Findlay-goers!

I am azyrian, a.k.a Brittany, the unofficial, self-proclaimed Municipal Liaison of the fantastic Findlay area (because we all know that Findlay is pretty much the bomb). Last year I took it upon my underaged self to arrange several skewed meetings/write-ins/coffee bonanzas at George House and The Stately Raven.

I'd be more than willing to step up to the job again, quite unofficially, unless there are some lurking 18 year-olds out there that want to wrestle the title from my greedy hands.

So yeah.
I might get around to planning a kick-off party come the first, and if...uh, anyone has any questions or whatever, bring it on. I'll answer them vaguely. :D

Unfortunately...I expect about four people to do NaNo in the Findlay area this year. So....BE AWESOME AND PROVE ME WRONG PLEASE.

Hi all!

This is my first NaNoWriMo. I'm pretty excited to start, as I've always wanted to write a novel. So far every attempt I've made has been a total bust, mostly because I get through four pages and say, "eh, I'll do it later", and never go back to it, opting instead for mind-numbing copy of corporate brochures.

Time to get my you-know-what into gear and get 'er done!

Anyone else from the Mahoning Valley out here?

Tiffin Area

Welcome everyone from the Tiffin Area. My name is Sam (aka S.S. Dailey). This is my first year as an ML for NaNoWriMo and I am really looking forward to it. Last year I had a great time doing NaNo with my friends and setting up write-ins and parties so I'm hoping things will go smooth this year as well.

Most of the activities will take place on or around Heidelberg College's campus, considering that's where I am but if we get enough interest I would be up to doing write-ins at Denny's or some other place like that.

Also, feel free to ask any questions you may have. I will answer them the best that I can.
