Don't know if you any of guys checked the score board recently, but Nashville is ranked 115 out 445. I don't know about you guys, but I think that is pretty good. How high do you think we can move up the board if we really push ourselves? Maybe in the top 100?

That is just another incentive for me to try my hardest to hit 50k at the end of the month.

Thanksgiving week question

I'll be back from Ohio, Thanksgiving is my birthday, that week just looks boring on the calendar.

If anyone is interested, tell me what time would work for you. Right now, I'm thinking Panera in Hermitage for the location, but that could change if it had to.

so, I decided this morning that while I was making my coffee this morning, I would procrastinate a little...

i went through the forums and found this one.. write 250 words if...

now, some of them are quite stupid, like write 250 words if you are thinking about your novel.. well, duh it's NOVEMBER.

so, I have decided that I would look through and jot tallies for everything I did or was or whatever for the entire 1st page, not counting duplicates.. geez, after the tally, I have 3 word wars with myself this morning.

1 is 2250
2 is 2500
and 3 is 2250

That word count alone is my plan for before noon/12:30 today, quite hefty, I know, considering that it is 10:30 now.
This, however, will bring my word count up to 30k...

Hi all..

So, I don't happen to like Barnes and Noble. We did it last year, a few times that I can remember, and it was either no one showed up, or it was too crowded in the store....

So, I think I will propose a new suggestion..

If no one can think of anywhere else in Franklin/Brentwood for this Saturday night's write-in by Thursday night, we will stick with the Saturday at Barnes and Noble.. otherwise.. pleaseeeeee come up with a new location..

Borders doesn't really have options for sitting room...
Starbucks has been done..

I do know there is a new Mocha Joes on 96 in Franklin if you come right off the freeway and go left.. it's next to Taco Bell on the left.

There's always numerous Starbucks, but I'd like to know if anyone else has any suggestions..

First, I wanted to apologize for not being able to attend events thus far. I work at 4:30 in the morning and get home around 4-5 p.m., so I've been staying in Clarksville.

Second, I...shoot, I want to say I'm sorry. Really. I hit 50077 tonight, though I will be working on this novel for at least the remainder of the month.

I'm still here, and still cheering our region on, even if I'm quiet. :)

I have major plotholes! No ending! I've been planning forever, but haven't got it all down yet. I have so much schoolwork and other chores I wanted to tackle in October so I could clear out November.

This year, this group is so supportive, and commentary, and willing to offer suggestions. I have to say, I'm impressed and pleased to see it. Inculsion in a group like this for support is so important!! And I'm very glad to see it here this year in spades!

Hey guys! So I'm definitely finally trying to participate for good this year. It's been hard though because I'm a Senior in College and I have to write other papers for school and all. It's hard when you want to just creatively write! I'm trying anyway.

Just thought I'd hop in here and say hello. I'm at Belmont University so if anybody wants to get together anywhere let me know! I'm a big Borders fan...I usually go to the one in Brentwood when I'm visiting family down there. Which means I can be anywhere and what not!

I am an art major but I absolutely love to write. I hope to write scripts for cartoons someday, come up with concepts and animate the stories. It's so much fun!

Anyway, it's nice to talk with all of you. Hope we can all write together =D

I have to catch up all day tomorrow....at least it will be fun!!

Gargantua29 and I are meeting up for lunch next week to just chat about our novels and how we are doing. Anyone else want to meet some reclusive writers?

We'll meet at Sitar on 21st, at 11:30 (because that's before the lunch rush-- parking spaces and tables will be available) on Monday the 17th. Sitar is an Indian buffet with good selection/quality, costs about $9 per person, and it works well time-wise, since you can fill up your plate, eat, and leave within half an hour if you want, or linger for an hour or more.

Please RSVP so I can get them to reserve us a table if it ends up being more than just 4 people.

After lunch, those who want could head down the street for a bit of an unofficial write-in?

I just renamed my story for the 3rd or 4th time. I've lost count. It's a fantasty/romance and it's title (I think this one is sticking) is Spinner's Web. There's a border war, personal vendettas, politics, lots of lessons learned, and magic that I'm still nervous about and working out. There may or may not be flying horse type critters. I have an EXTREMELY rough synopsis in my novel info stuff.

Hey, the halfway party and possible write in is going to be the 15th at the Buffalo Wild Wings in Rivergate.
Unfortunately, I will be miserable in Ohio, but Kyrie will be there, and she needs to know how big of a space she needs to set aside..

The plan for this was to have an informal social event with the possibility of a write-in if people are up to writing in that crazy environment. In your honor, I will also be at a Buffalo Wild Wings (albeit 600 miles away) and probably not for as many hours as y'all will.

From the intersection of Old Hickory and Highway 70 South, go west on 70 S and immediately fork left onto Old Harding Pike. Go straight through a couple stop signs, then over the railroad tracks, and it's in the shopping plaza on the left immediately after the tracks. Only takes a couple minutes to get there from the Old Hickory intersection.
