Hey peeps!

So our opening pre-Nano party of awesome went over very well. A great, animated group of people who I'm sure will seemingly all complete the 50k.

We decided as a group to have weekly get-togethers so that we can rant or rave about the wonderfulness of Nano.

Place: Hava Java Coffee Shop, St. John's
Date: Mondays
Time: 7pm

Just look for a bunch of people laughing about downloading hamburgers and such. I'm sure it will be quite obvious who we are.

Introductions!

Hey people! Long time no... something.

For those of you who don't know, I'm James (or Jam), your illustrious ML for the Newfoundland region!

*and the crowd goes wild?*

This year, we're going to make it work. We're going to get those novels done, we're going to meet each other and have a crazy good time (I see Hava Java in our future), and... yeah!

We have a new co-ML to help me out with advertising and all that fun ML jazz, miss Lilly, aka no_rhetoric. Last year, unfortunately, neither of us managed to complete our novels (boo) but this year, along with every one of you, we're going to do it!

Now, was that enough pep for you? I surely hope so, because I am pepped right out.

What I'd like everyone to do is introduce yourselves, a little bit about you, some fun information that we (can) can't blackmail you with later on.

More about me: I'm 23, quite short (but not short enough that I can walk under a coffee table), blonde-made-brunette, student at MUN. I'm also a banker and a li'l writer and an ML for this and a rambler and a dude. It's a glamorous life, but someone has to live it. Well, I guess they don't, but I do.

I don't exactly have anything to report, just wanted to say hi to the rest of you. This is my second time participating, first time my progress was rather pathetic. We'll see what happens this year. It's early enough for me to be optimistic, despite lack of plot, characters, etc.

Pre-Nano Party (of Welcome?)

Howdy!

It's Lilly, the-still-not-marked-as-a-ML ML, here to introduce the idea of the (oh my osh kosh be gosh!) pre-NANO get together that let's us all gather in one place (I mean, how else can we meet each other in person and gadge how sexy we think everyone else is on a scale of one to ten?) and introduce ourselves/plan write ins/talk shop/drink coffee and look heinously like those artsy writer types! Yeah.

Anyway! So, suggestions? Where and when? I suggest-though this is really James' suggestion, but I've stolen it-the 24th of October at Hava Java at 7pm. Hava Java is downtown St.John's for y'all who don't know, and further directions could be given if we decide that is a good place!

Any other suggestions? Thoughts? Comments? Concerns? Bueller?
