After that, too many to mention, all tying for second place. Everything from Cannery Row to Just William, via science fiction, fantasy, horror and humour. But not historical novels and no Mills & Boon or chick lit. Favorite writers: Terry Pratchett, Stephen King, Harper Lee, Charles Dickens, John Steinbeck. The list changes a lot, but Pratchett and King are always in there somewhere Favorite music: Davey Ray Moore, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, astonishingly I find that I also like a fair bit of what is apparently called "Chillout". Or something. (Not necessarily in that order). Non-noveling interests: Animals, veggie food and drink, Normandy, unhealthy introspection. |

Synopsis: The Self-Preservation Society
Some people shouldn't be allowed out alone, according to their nearest and dearest. But whilst some people reckon that their nearest and dearest are full of it, they also secretly fear that the pressure may mount too far and they'll give in and find themselves in homes/sheltered accommodation or other such horrors. But they have something to offer - they're not dead yet. And luckily there's somewhere they can go where they can prop each other up and fill in each other's ability gaps. But is this the end of their troubles, or just the beginning of new ones?
