Synopsis: Big Game Hunt

In the early 21st century, man discovered the ability to travel the stars. Although that statement is accurate in one sense, it’s also quite inaccurate. The technology was in fact a gift from beings that planted the knowledge for the human race to find for reasons that they and they alone know. After the initial discovery was made, man took his first steps into the greater universe and discovered that there were other races out there, races totally alien to his own and yet incredibly familiar. These races had evolved along lines very similar to that of humans, only the beings bared a striking resemblance to terrestrial animals. This similarity wasn’t lost on many of the races man discovered. The Ruug’h, a large, ursine race who viewed most of the other races as food to be hunted, soon started the first galactic war in search of new and more entertaining prey to hunt. The war, which lasted several years, involved many races, many planets and cost innumerable lives before the Terran alliance was finally able to defeat the Ruug’h and drive them back into their home world.

Since that time, the humans have played host to various alien races who now inhabit the earth. One of the exceptions are the Ruug’h who are forbidden to step foot on Earth on penalty of death.

Although the Ruug’h consider themselves to be the ultimate predator, they aren’t the only species in the universe who enjoys a good hunt.
