Synopsis: Ventajas/Ventanas
Rifke and Pocho can't stand each other. If they didn't have Hubert in common, they wouldn't have anything to talk about.
Lew lives alone in a Mission District apartment building. He doesn't get out much, but spends his time watching the occupants of the building next door through his binoculars. He gets to know them from afar and is especially intrigued by the seemingly shady young men who hang out on the front stoop, and the clean-cut young woman who often comes by for one of them.
When Hubert dies in mysterious circumstances and no one seems to care, Rifke and Pocho, unlikely allies, team up to solve the case.
Does Lew know what really happened? And what of the long-lost South American author Rifke idolizes? What happened to him?
