Synopsis:

My story is a fantasy /romance with a very heavy focus on the platonic relationships between siblings (especially twins - with telepathy of course). I am also playing with gender issues a lot. Pretty much, my world is operated on a matriarchal system with a goddess and a queen... and only women can own land etc. It is also unheard of for men to have magic and if they ever do it is considered heresy and they are killed by 'the order' - pretty much the magicians / priestesses of Tyria.

So yeah, of course, my story is about a boy who can do magic and is being hidden by his people. They hope that he will one day be the saviour of their people and overthrow the evil order. But this boy (Tynan) is actually a twin... and his twin is a girl (Tasya) who refuses to do magic but is an unmatched fighter.

The other main character is a boy called Kameron of Varna who is about the closest that men in this society get to being in power. He is 23 and the regent for his little sister Mahala who will one day be the lady of House Varna. Lots of the other houses keep trying to assassinate the poor kid so Kam is trying to come up with a way to protect her and in the end the only answer he can think of is to marry the princess and win his house official royal protection.

The only downside is that the last princess is cursed. She was born blind and her mother died bringing her into the world. The people are weary of her and gossip about her behind her back but one priestess in particular (Andrea) is convinced that she is the bringer of the prophesized apocalypse. So she has decided it is up to her to save Tyria... by bewitching the princess' new husband and forcing him to murder her on their wedding night...

And she would have succeeded... if it were not for the twins who were in the process of trying to steal something from the palace at the time and had a sudden twinge of compassion...

Thus the story begins and the four of them (the twins, kam and the princess) must find a way to stop Andrea from taking over and bringing about the very apocalypse she was trying to prevent....
