Brief Author Bio:

I am a possibly crazy girl who loves animals and likes people okay. I like writing poetry and fantasy, but sometimes I get hung up in the details. Also, I'm a bit of a hippie (the back to-the-lander kind, not the let's-go-protest-everything kind). My top five career choices would be farmer, writer, time traveller, explorer, artist.

Synopsis:

Anne is a girl with a problem. When a childhood friend confesses his undying love for her, she doesn't want to hurt his feelings by telling him the truth, which is that she can't be his girlfriend because she is completely smitten with James, her new boss. So, teetering on the edge of panic, she tells him the first thing that pops into her head. After a few minutes of desperate babbling, she manages to convince him that she is, in fact, not interested in guys at all, but rather women. It may be a lie, but at least she hopes it will ease the blow of rejection and hide her embarassing crush. Unfortunately, someone over heard her false confession, and by the end of the week every single person in the small, conservative town of Springville thinks that Anne Carter is a lesbian, including her attractive, wonderful boss. Anne, with terrifying visions of lifelong loneliness and spinsterhood, trys to undo the mess caused by her little white lie, and maybe, hopefully, gain the affection of her perfect boss.
