Synopsis:
Something is wrong with the country of Karmel, the once just king is creating a new military force, the neighboring countries are concerned.
Meanwhile a bartender named Joe is visited by two teenagers. "You should be king" they say, and so an epic journey begins, old friends are reunited, and an evil plot is discovered.
Kudos for anyone taking me seriously.
Excerpt:
The new arrival took a seat at the bar, just as Joe thought he'd do, and tipped his hat up. The first thing Joe noticed was that the man didn't have any facial hair, it struck him because normally tough cowboy types always had some. The second thing he noticed, was that he wasn't exactly a man, but a boy. Maybe halfway through his teens. The third thing he noticed was that he was grinning from ear to ear, cheeky brat.
"A beer." He said, and his voice sounded young enough that half of his customers turned to look at him.
"Got an ID?"
"You still ask for those on this day and age?" The kid's eyes were an unusually bright blue and Joe could tell they were sparkling with mischief.
