Synopsis: To End All Wars
When the storm of war blows something off the face of the Earth, what if that's closer to the truth than we ever imagined?
Excerpt: To End All Wars
THE SCENE: A group of four beat-up US military folks, in the kitchen of an abandoned house in the middle of nowhere (Note: profanity, unPC racial reference).
"Speaking of that, did anyone hear anything during the night?" Rohnert said.
They all shook their heads.
"Not even birds," Mandy said. "Or crickets. Not nothing."
"That's fucked up, Master Chief. That's impossible. This place was crawling in turbans yesterday. Where'd they all go?" Johnson sounded angry, his eyes wide. But maybe more scared.
"I don't think that's the right question, Johnson." The chief paused. "The question is 'where are we?' "
