Green Horse's Rider (aka SPACEDRAGONS)
an excerpt

“Death all around!” Erik shouted a bit hysterically, flinging his arms out and laughing humorlessly. “Welcome to the life of Erik Malront!”

Something rumbled in the distance. Erik decided a cave-in would really just about be the perfect ending to his life, really. Like the cave-in of his MIND, which he knew was probably ripped apart and he was just about going mad here already.

But it wasn’t a cave-in. It was something far more terrifying, as that squishy mass that had saved his life and gotten him to the ground actually moved, and he realized that as large as the cave was, probably bigger than some mountains he’d seen, this thing was practically curled in on itself to keep from rubbing against the walls of the cave.

His eyes had adjusted enough for him to see the movements. How the body in front of him flexed enormous muscles. How the enormous, nearly ear-shattering noise further down was the flash of a tail twitching near the end of the cavern. And the rumbling noise wasn’t coming from the ground, oh no. It was coming from the creature in front of him.

The giant beast rolled itself over, the shadows within shadows revealing a huge head on a snakelike neck heading straight for him.

It was over. He was going to die, and it would be even worse than starvation because he was going to be eaten and digested and his least favorite topic had always been the digestive system of the human body, let alone one of a gigantic, cave-filling, earth-rumbling monster whose mouth was bigger than the entire Undeclared complex on Indecision and he was going to die and it would be painful and slow and nobody would even wonder-

A single, enormous eye the size of a house stopped near him, the lid sliding open to reveal a murky eye that was pure white aside from the cat-like slit in it, only for the eye to blink…

One lid opened, and then the murkiness slid aside (another eyelid, the subdued logical part of him assumed), and Erik Malront was staring into a house-sized eye the exact same amber shade of his own.

[Hi Erik Malront I am so very happy to be welcomed into your life my name is Aphaniannur nel Anolphedikar and let’s be friends] a voice that was far too bright and happy to belong inside the cave said. Which was why he realized there was no echo because it was coming straight from his own head.
