Synopsis: Kizella and the Silver Broom
Kasandra is brought to the mountains to live with her five aunts. She is unaware of her powers and is struggling to understand the strange things happening to her.
Excerpt: Kizella and the Silver Broom
Kizella was blissfully unaware that her household was in any way different than many of her classmates. She did remember the day, when she was three; her Great Aunt Henny brought her to the mountain village. She saw her new home for the first time and thought it too large and round! She was used to living in a small cottage, with a large backyard, a garden and huge sandbox, which her father had built for her. This house was strange with all its gables and abutments sticking out from each corner. A few years later she realized why the house looked so strange. It had no corners! In fact you couldn’t find a house or store in the whole village showing a corner. It was as though there was some rule that forbade the use of angles of any kind.
