Synopsis:

It's 1929, and New York has just seen the stock markets crash.

16 year-old Daniel and his younger sister, Mae, are sent to live with their young, rich aunt - a silent film star desperate to make her break in the new 'talky' films. Resentful of an aunt he barely knows, and a city he's never been to, Daniel struggles with homesickness and finding a niche at his new school. And then he befriends fellow outcast named Will, who happens to be the grandson of a prominent mob boss...
