Synopsis: The Line that Divides

Set in St. Augustine, FL in July 1880, Marshal Bartram doesn't realize the daunting case that will force him to reexamine everything he's ever held as absolutes. The first victim is a young boy - and his death opens a virtual can of worms, especially for one of St. Augustine's respectable families.
Bartram and his best deputy, Higgins, work together to try and catch their biggest suspect - and when the next body turns up, the pressure is on Bartram to catch the killer - or die trying.

Excerpt: The Line that Divides

“Marshal, Higgins, it’s Tucker; he’s escaped!”
The warning from the empty too soon whiskey flask, Bartram reflected later, had been accurate. Again. At the moment, though, he was busy screaming curses at anyone within earshot - and those who were not. The four deputies scrambled to gather posses to try and find Tucker.
Tucker was now their top suspect.
