Synopsis: The Piteousness of Doves

Three members of a small-town daily newspaper staff collide head-on, and sometimes accidentally, with the truth.

Simon X. Cross never expected his small-town job at a backwater rag to matter, until suddenly, it did. Aric Khan thought struggling with ethnic tolerance would be the most difficult part of post post-9/11 America. Then his marriage began to founder. Rich Tompkins finds himself out in the cold after an inconvenient story alienates the political establishment of the town he covers. Suddenly, he finds himself having to actually do his job for the first time in his career.

"The Piteousness of Doves" follows these three men through their herculean struggles for quotidian triumphs, and examines the nature of truth and innocence in contemporary small-town America.
