Synopsis: The Enginn's Guard
Ellis Froud is 20 years old, unemployed for three months, single for five hours, very nearly broke and hasn't paid her rent in two months. Life, as they say, sucks.
And it's about to get worse when a fire breaks out in her apartment building, trapping her from escaping. In a panic, she trips and falls in her room and suddenly she's falling through nothing. The apartment is gone and there's nothing but darkness around her.
She ends up falling into another world and they've been waiting for her. A resistance group called the Watchers find her first and immediately set her to work. The Guards, a totalitarian militant group, are looking for her too. Turns out that Ellis is the one who will end the fight between the Guards and the Watchers once and for all. But for which side?
[Author's note: There are also vampires and dragons which I couldn't fit into my half-assed synopsis and which sounds totally random but I'm going to make it work in the story. Oh yes. Just thought you ought to know.]
