Synopsis: Centenary Moon

"Centenary Moon" is set in 1971 in an alternate universe where the Central Powers were victorious in what is called the "Great War" of 1914-17. The war itself has become an old memory, most of those who fought it are now old men and most of those who commanded them are dead and the world situation is focused on other things, namely the impending centenary of the German Empire which the German Space Agency intends to mark by landing the first men on Earth's moon. As the world gazes upward, though, events unfold in Europe that threaten the fifty years of relative stability the world has enjoyed and both present-day political turmoil and the legacy of the last global conflict threatens to plunge the planet back into another war.
