Synopsis: Idiot's Guide to Mediocrity
Eh? What's a synopsis-es? Is it good to eat? Fry it up with much mushrooms, sweet. Mushrooms grow you know, in the dirt, but you don't wash 'em, you just brush em off with a brush or or or some paper towel - if I don't have paper towel I use kleenex and even sometimes toilet paper. I keep my spare toilet paper locked up in the spare room which is locked. That might be a problem cause I can't find the keys. So I have to go across the street to the restaurant to use the john, which costs me money cause they don't like just anyone coming in to use the bathroom so I haveta buy a coffee or somethin'. It's good on Sunday mornings cause the church is open and I can use their john and even have tea & cookies afterwards.
Excerpt: Idiot's Guide to Mediocrity
I suppose at some point we need to discuss mediocrity. At some point, for sure. Why choose that particular way of describing this collection of enough words to make a book, you might ask. Well, since I am very very good at procrastinating you might also say that I have some experience with mediocrity, lol.
Certainly I’ve gone out with a couple of mediocre men. The kind that doles out their affection a drop at a time, just enough to keep your little love-starved heart engaged in the game. The kind that presumes to tell you how to live and what to think. And you buy into it because you’ve integrated the idea that you aren’t worth very much and your instincts are to give and to do in order to earn the affection you so crave. I suppose, to give them their due, they are also living lives of quiet desperation and making you dance to their tune is their way of staving off the unremarkable nature of their lives. Wow, I can’t believe I just said that. Way too serious, eh?
