Synopsis: Confessions of a High School Boyfriend

It's as loud and obnoxious as your best friend.
It's as annoying as band camp.
It's as difficult as acceptance,
and as heartwarming as friendship.

But most of all, it's as simple as two boys falling in love.

Excerpt: Confessions of a High School Boyfriend

"Roxas, I'd like you to meet my best friend, Axel." Axel smiled. Not the friendly, 'nice to meet you' kind of smile, not at all. It was more of a smirk, filled to the brim with confidence and maybe just a hint of 'I'm going to make your life hell.' It sort of frightened Roxas, but Axel offered a hand and Roxas took it anyway. He tried to stutter out a 'hi' but Axel spoke first.
"Nice to meet 'cha, Wood Wind Kid."
.... Wait, what?
"W-wood wind kid? Excuse me?" Roxas wanted to pull his hand back. No, never mind, he didn't like Demyx's friends. But Axel's grip was firm and the red head wasn't letting go, even if Roxas tugged.
"You can't deny it!" A shorter, horribly obnoxious looking boy chimed in.
"You do play the clarinet," the tall girl said, smirking in much the same way as Axel smiled.
"But thats- What the hell!" Axel finally released his hand and Roxas looked at Demyx because it was probably his fault. He was the one that had apparently told everyone about him after all.
"Sorry Roxas," was all Demyx could think to say with a shrug. "They alwasy do this sort of thing." As if that made it all better!
"Nah, don't worry about him, Brass Boy," Axel said, still smiling or smirking or whatever it was that he did. "Some people just won't understand."
"If you'll excuse me, Demyx," Roxas finally said, practically seething as he slipped out from under his arm. "I've got to go assemble my clarinet so I can beat someone with it." He shot Axel a glare and stalked away from Demyx and the rest of his friends (he'd only been oficially introduced to one, but that was enough, really.) and into the band room.
When he was almost out of ear shot he thought he heard the tall girl suddenly exclaim, "I like that kid! Can we keep him?"
Apparently, he found out shortly after, he fit right in with Demyx's friends. For a long time he couldn't decide whether or not he was happy about that.
