Introduction

In the forty odd years that Reality TV has dominated the airwaves, there have been so many contestants that nearly everyone in the United States has been or knows a contestant. Good shows like Skills 101 create contestants proud to be on the various talk shows or the coffee shop circuit. However, more than a few Big Brother and Wedding Bitches contestants wish they had made other choices. One thing that you cannot escape as a contestant is the long memory of the press. Get an award at 40 for promoting the welfare of apes in zoos and, sure enough, the article will mention that you were voted off in the second episode of Hot Stuff when you were nineteen.

This book meets up with reality TV stars and lets them tell their stories of how they got there, what the show was like, and what life is like now that their 15 minutes of fame has evaporated (or has it? they are in this book!)
