Synopsis: Widowmaker

Lainey should be very, very happy. Her dad has been released from prison, her family is reunited and it's the beginning of summer vacation. But if it's not one thing, it's another. Her best friend is really mad at her - could have something to do with Lainey's part in her uncle's death last November. And Lainey's mother is acting kinda crazy - is she really clean and sober? And then, in mid-June, the lightning storms start the whole north state burning. No long days swimming in the lake, 'cause no one can be outside when the smoke is so thick. Of course, on the positive side of the list, the fires mean her dad can get work as a crew boss - that is until one of the crew is killed.
