Anya stood from her bed and walked over to the large window overlooking the garden, the neighboring house, and some houses on the parallel block. Rose was still downstairs with some last guests. The party would probably be over in a few minutes.

Beep. Beep. Beep.
Anya Danielle turned around to see the watch on her bed glowing in a light color.

“What in the world are you?” Anya Danielle asked.
Beep. Beep. Beep.

She walked over to the bed and picked the watch up. It continued beeping for just another moment and then stopped. The watch still shone brightly for some reason.

Did I press on some button by accident? Anya asked herself. But there were no buttons on the watch at all.

“Huh?”
The watch started beeping again.
Stop! Please stop!

Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep.
The girl turned the watch in her hand one more time.
Beep. Beep. Beep.

She put the watch on her right hand.
A growl.
The girl felt something running behind her.
She turned around. There was nothing there.
A snarl. There was a wind from behind.
The girl turned around. Nothing there.

Beep. Beep. Beep.
A snarl.
A growl.
Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep.
A bright light shone in the girl’s face. She lifted her arm to cover it.
Beep.
A snarl.
A wind from behind.
But there’s nothing there.
Beep. Beep. Beep.
A snarl.
A growl.
A bright light.
A growl.
A light.
Beep. Beep.
A loud roar.

“Anya Danielle!”
Everything stopped.
