Brief Author Bio: Hi, I'm Lutra, a weirdo who has been writing since...um...I could write. I can't wait for NaNo this year because I got the idea for my novel one fine day in the practice halls. My group and I were working on a project due the following Monday. One of the group members did something random based on something another music major said, and...from that sprang an idea. So I can't wait to actually get started on it :D Won last year, hope to win this year in honor of my new hermit crab who can't write but I bet he'd be great if he could. |

Synopsis: Shadow Bowing
Lucas Grove High School is rumored to be haunted. Most high schools are, though, so no one thinks anything of it except for the second violins in the school orchestra, who one day in a bout of boredom, bring a Ouija board backstage and attempt to contact the dead. No one is more surprised than them when the ghosts actually respond, and soon the entire orchestra ends up in contact with the dead violist Christophe Perrault, his dead student Jason Valis, and even the ghost of Jason's viola. The orchestra personally takes it as their task to free these ghosts from their bondage to the schoolground, and the ghosts...and viola...join forces with a seemingly uninteresting youth orchestra in a determination to find the answer, find peace, and find first place in nationals.
