Brandy
an excerpt
“They are sweet.” Stellina said as she sat in an armchair and motioned for Rohnan to sit in the one next to her. He did so and blew the steam off of his coffee.
“I cannot believe how well they get along. They can't understand a word the other is saying.” He smiled and sipped. Stellina sipped her coffee and stated simply,
“You don't have to understand to be in love.” She smiled and took another sip. Rohnan stared at his coffee and mumbled, “I guess not.”

“Brandy!” Ginger jumped up and nearly knocked Brandy over as she hugged her.
“Good morning Gin, you're certainly affectionate this morning!” She chuckled.
“Brandy you had me frightened. You didn't even move for almost two days.”
“What?” Brandy said, suprised. She thought that it had only been a few hours, over night at most. Seamus lookd up from the table.
“Brandy it's been about three days. We were afraid that you may not come out of it..” He said, holding back his excitement.
“It was not that long.” Brandy said, a little shocked. “It couldn't have been.”
“It was almost three days.” Nessa said. Brandy's eyes glazed over for a moment.
“That's impossible.” She was in total disbelief. And then she remembered Rohnan.
“Him. Was he-” She paused. “here the whole time?” She asked, hoping that the answer was no.
“I found him caring over you. He almost didn't let us take care of you at first. He did not sleep at all. He refused to go. He was so-” Ginger searched for a word. “dedicated.”
“Or perhaps he is simply insane.”
The frightening thing was, as much as Brandy was frustrated by and annoyed by Rohnan, she found that she trusted him enough to indulge her desires.
“I'm sorry that you had to leave, Brandy.” He said, stuck for words (editors note: so is the writer!)
